Another wet and Windy Sunday afternoon saw Spring start where Winter left off. Boco met third place St Vallier away from home on a boggy but playable pitch. The game was going to be tough as St Vallier made a strong start and tested Madgey’s reaction almost from the start. Boco got the ball down  the hill but just could not penetrate the Vallier defence. It took about 15 minutes to settle and boco started to pick up the pace. A ball from Brad came through to Jack ball who laid it sideways for it to connect with Greener’s boot and bounce and bobble its way into the net to open the scoring. Joe worked hard and was able to control the ball getting it into the box for Callum’s shot to go just over the bar. The middle of the pitch started to break up so it relied on pushing the ball wide to Will and Joe to get the ball into the box both needing to battle with the defence to achieve this. Sam received a great ball from Jack Green but was unable to keep it low and the wind took it sailing over the bar.  Brad, Jack B and Tom N all tokk free kicks that were either cleared or saved by the Valier keeper.

The second half saw Boco take control and maintain the pressure as they pushed up hill. Greener took on three defenders and managed to cross the ball to find jack Ball rise high and head it clear beyond the keeper for goal number two. This did not stop St Vallier battling and they kept the defence busy to keep Jack Madge happy in his goal. With only 8 minutes left a long  throw from Will fell to Jack Ball who turned and twisted  to get the ball to Jack green to hammer home number 3 and seal the match.

Final score St Vallier 0 – Boco 3
