What a difference a week makes! Today saw an on fire BOCO team who met for the first time in the league newly promoted Ashton boys colts. The game was fast paced and all the boys played their part in today’s game. It was not long before Greener was off down the wing running 30 yards before crossing the ball to Alex Whale who hit the side netting with the volley. Luke then took his chance from a great ball by Jack green and weaved his way into the box past the defenders finding Jack ball facing him. Jack spun on the spot and put a fantastic power shot beyond the keepers hand into the top right corner for goal number 1. Boco kept the ball in the Ashton half thanks to the midfield of Brad, Harry, Alex and Joe keeping possession and passing it swiftly and accurately across the pitch.

Tom Norley was unlucky not to convert two corners into goals with his headers going just wide. A rare defensive mistake saw Jack Madge use his chest to remove the ball from his box and clear the lines. On the 35 minute mark a ball from Will to Jack B saw Alex in space this time he coolly pushed it past the keeper taking the squad into half time two up.

The second half saw much of the same with a display of excellent football being shown. The only criticism was the finish. The game should have been 5 nil up by 75 minutes but it would not go between the posts.  This was finally broken when a ball from midfield found Sam who opened his account for Boco by placing the ball neatly into the corner leaving the Ashton keeper watching it go in. a great show of football was appreciated by all the spectators , a professional game played to the high standards the AYL expect, final score Boco 3- ashton colts 0
